Description

Fedora 42 Adams, released in April 2025, targets developers, power users, and enterprise workstations. It ships as the Workstation edition and supports both 64‑bit x86_64 and ARM64 platforms, delivering a modern GNOME desktop with the latest open‑source technologies and a robust security framework.

Fedora 42 brings a refreshed Linux 6.5 kernel with improved hardware support, while GNOME 45 introduces a streamlined workflow and enhanced Wayland performance. The DNF package manager sees faster dependency resolution, and the new toolbox integration simplifies container‑based development.
